I'm a one-man marketing & design business and have decided to grow. Instead of recruiting someone full-time I'd like to employ someone on a placement basis whereby they gain work experience with the potential of a job if they prove themselves.
Does anyone have experience of recruiting in this way and what were the results?
id do it....im tryin to become an art advertising director, was goin back to do a post grad, where are you based????
hi, I am working is a building with a mix of companies and we work by ourselves of act as a large company if there is a big job. This works well. A building full of freelancers, it is very flexible. You need more contacts in the same field.
Sorry did not answer main question- work experiance is a was of time you have to do your job and train and check there work at the sametime it gives you more work.
I would have to agree with shout on this one. I have looked after all kinds of work experience, volunteers and helpers. All of them have needed more work put into the that they have brought with them.
Employing someone on a part time basis may be a good idea but I would make sure that they have some good core/foundation skills to start with.
It could be a good idea to give someone a chance at gainig experience, perhaps you cuold speak to someone at your local college, and try employ a student who is studying to work in the marketing and design industry.
