I recently got a phone call from business Internet directory from a sales call?

I was told i could advertise my business online through them at no charge after spending 10 mins on the phone i was asked to pay £175.00.I was in a rush and a bit confussed i told them to invoice me the bill when i check on the computer when i finally got home what the sales person had tolded me was not true.I phone them straight back and tried to cancel they told me that it was to late and i had to pay the money.I havent give them any bank details and i have not signed anything could you please tell me where i stand thanks.

Not 100%sure but was there not a law passed a few years back, dealing with a cooling off period. It was to deter sales people hounding the elderly into signing under duress.

you have the right to cancel within 7 days as this will come under the distance selling regulations. cooling off period so don't worry.

£175 to advertise your business they must be f**king be joking. try looking at http://tradersreview.co.uk they allow free business advertising or you can buy a better advert if you want.

you have to pay nothing , tell them to get lost or take you to court

how are they going to get it , come and call , if they do get the police
