View Full Version : Good Notebook
Hello,
I'm personally planning to buy a notebook so I can work both at home and at school (or wherever I go). Of course I will need an internet connection. How is that possible?
Thanks,

Hello,
As stated on my previous thread - "Outdoor Internet" - I'm planning to buy a notebook, and I need suggestions on good notebook models. I'm considering to processor to be AMD and the portability.
Thanks,

You will need a laptop with WiFi to access the internet on the move. Even then, you will only be able to access the internet when you are in range of a WiFi Hotspot (that will probably charge you).
You could also get a mobile data card from a mobile phone provides for a fixed monthly fee that will let you access the internet from anywhere with a mobile phone signal.
I to am looking to get a notebook but really have not researched them yet. I would love any recommendations anyone might have. Thanks
mac book pro :)
Thank you for the suggestion, Sir Matt. Mac's are Intel-powered right? I'm choosing between another Mac and an HP.

Would you prefer the mobile one, Sir? I wonder if it's already available here in the Philippines.

I use 3 for my wireless broadband and its only £15 per month. I find that the coverage is really good.

Thanks I will have to check the MAC book pro out. It will be about another month before I can actually purchase one though. Thanks again.

If you are looking for internet reachable outdoors I would hihgly recommend something like Sattilite internet so that you can access it ove a wide range. Of course you will be a paying a couple hundred bucks a month but I guess it would be worth it for the good connectivity.
Thanks for the suggestion. I don't think right now though I could afford that a month. Would love to be able to though.
You'll find free wireless networks to connect to. If you'd rather have your own connection, use mobile Internet access, but it's pretty expensive.
