Hi all, I am going to be bringing a new product to market very soon. It's a totally new leisure based product with no alternatives or competitors.
Im wondering should I go it alone with the product and sell it on-line or should I try and get on-board with a distributor of some kind?
Its an item of clothing by the way.
Thoughts welcome.
Andrew
Two ways of looking at it:
1) The more people involved, the less money in your pocket.
however,
2) The more people distributing and spreading 'the word' means a greater span in distribution at a quicker rate, thus pulling in more money, faster...
but still more people for it to go to.
It all depends on your patience. If you are happy to go it alone and reap the sole benefits in the long run, it can be a rewarding experience, once the nail biting and stress is done with! Although if you are more eager to see immediate results, joining forces is definately your option.
Just my thoughts...hope they help in some way or other! :)
Nice tips there Kaz.
Andrew, do you have any other products or is this your first/only one? Who do you think would distribute it for you?

Comon Andrew C, spill the beans...
I know what it is Tim because I have done Andrews e-commerce site for him. Not telling what it is but I do want some so bad. I'm going to buy a few as soon as he starts to release them.

I'd say it depends on your market Andrew, if you are well known in the market you can probably go it alone, if not, might be good to do deal with an established distributor.
