That is a pretty good outline but you might as well go ahead and go withh google's seo outline which is a little bit more in depth with what you need to do with your site.

Good point willyable. I think the guidelines that Google provides can be a bit techy for some people.

I am all for things that are not too full of tech speak. It is about time something was written to help us newbie web people get the best from SEO.

While Google's might be good, it is always best to have several different presentations of the same information to address different learning styles, technical experiences, and vocabulary levels.

Also, there are tips that may not be included in Google's information as they seek to control the number of sites they are paying money to through their Adsense program.
