Are the Royal Mail officially the worse company in the UK or even the world, if not they should be.

Today I tried to send a customer his ordered by Royal Mail Special Delivery so he got it tomorrow and I could check that he had received it ok. So queued up for about 20 minutes to get served, get to the counter and said can I send this Special Delivery please, I got the reply of sorry sir you won't be able to send it that way due to the size of the item, so ended up going by Parcel Force at some stupid amount for postage.

The bit that has annoyed me more then anything about this is, I received the package from my supplier this morning and checked it over and packed it in the same packaging as they did so no change what so ever in the size, and they had sent it by Special Delivery.

So why can't I send it out by Special Delivery?

I feel your post office pain!

I get charged a different price every day for the same package! I know they go to different places but they are packed the same and are the same weight!

I'm thinking of moving over to DHL or Business Post. Anyone used them?

I'm using DHL at the moment. Seems to be the best for me as they have a drop off point at Staples and that just next door to the office.

Usually when I'm doing anything with the mail in shipping big packages I will use UPS or FedEx, I have always been fairly happy with them. Do they offer those in the UK?

I'm assuming they do maybe not UPS, but FedEx?
